What travel costs

My travel fee is based on road distance from my Summerville base, so it changes from one appointment to the next.

0–10 miles: Starting at$35
11–20 miles: Starting at$55
21–30 miles: Starting at$100
31+ miles: Custom Quote

My final travel fee may vary with distance, travel time, appointment time, urgency, traffic, parking, facility access and location. Hospital, care-facility, detention-facility and after-hours appointments may carry a higher travel quote. Distance is measured by road from my Summerville base and rounded to the nearest whole mile. South Carolina notarial fees are charged separately, at the statutory maximum of $5 per signature, per person, or per certificate.

Routine, rush and same-day describe how quickly the first attempt is made, not when service is completed — that depends on the person being served. Pricing applies to standard local service in Summerville, Ladson and Goose Creek. Additional parties, difficult service, extra attempts, rural locations, stakeouts and special court requirements may be quoted separately.

South Carolina notarial fees

These fees are set by South Carolina statute, not by me. Every commissioned notary in the state follows the same maximum, so this part of your bill is the same with any notary. They are charged separately from the travel fee above.
